HISTORY :
Pai Mu Tan tea comes from the Fujian province in south-eastern China. Because it evokes the
the scent of peonies, its name translates into "white peony" in Chinese.
Because of its elegance and great delicacy, it is often called the "tea of emperors".
Lavender has been used since ancient times. It is said to come from Persia. Pliny mentions it in his
writings. It was cultivated in 1370 in Burgundy. It was not until the 16th century that lavender essence was
was distilled in Provence. The plant began to be cultivated in the 19th century with the development of
industry and perfumery.
