HISTORY :

The melon is a fruit of African and wild origin. It belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family and the cultivation of this herbaceous plant has been very successful, probably because of the flavour and freshness of its "false fruit". The melon, like the other dried fruits on sale in our grocery shop, contains a lot of antioxidants, which makes it a purifier for our organism and thus helps our body to better defend itself against the internal attacks that are sometimes responsible for the development of certain serious diseases. Certain types of cancer and cardiovascular diseases can be kept at bay with a healthy lifestyle and if melon is eaten regularly. Its high fibre content makes it a natural laxative. It also has a large amount of minerals which makes it a diuretic.
