HISTORY :

Eucalyptus grows impressively and naturally in Australia, in the province of Tasmania, but it has acclimatised very well to many parts of the world, particularly in the two African countries. Where it takes root, it dries out the surrounding land because of its considerable need for water, killing malaria-carrying insects in the process. The Aborigines call it the "fever tree". The Aborigines have been using it for thousands of years to relieve fevers and many other pains. In the Western world, it is mainly extracted as an essential oil, and has been since the end of the 19th century.

PROPERTIES :

Eucalyptus is one of our old grandmother remedies for clearing bronchial tubes, relieving sore throats, and getting rid of a stubborn cold.

KITCHEN :

It is difficult to escape eucalyptus, it dominates the pharmaceutical and dental world.

It is therefore ingested on a daily basis, but what about in the food sector? Today it is still linked to a famous brand of chewing gum. Ideal for fresh breath after meals. It is always a good idea to have a few eucalyptus leaves at home to infuse. How do you do it? Two or three leaves are enough, or 2 to 3 grams dried, to soak in a cup of boiling water for ten minutes.
